Mission:
Castle Rock Community Green Team (CGT) is a public outreach group founded to promote careful stewardship and wise use of natural and economic resources, with the goal of achieving an improved quality of life for ourselves and future generations through green initiatives.
Priorities
Founded June of 2010, CGT uses the Castle Rock Planning Commission’s Sustainability Action Plan as a guide, with priorities drawn from the Action Plan public workshop. These priorities include:
- Energy Conservation and Use
- Water Conservation and Use
- Waste Reduction and Recycling
- Green Building
- Transportation and Air Quality
- Land Use & Development
We pursue projects to:
- Encourage greater use of renewable energy and green building practices
- Facilitate recycling and waste reduction
- Foster other “green” behaviors
